Gregory Crewdson exhibition opens in Reggio Emilia
The exhibition ‘Gregory Crewdson. Eveningside’ has opened at the Chiostri di San Pietro in Reggio Emilia, Italy. Curated by Jean-Charles Vergne and organized in collaboration with Gallerie d’Italia di Intesa Sanpaolo, the showcase features the work of the renowned American photographer.
The exhibition presents a photographic trilogy spanning a decade of work, including the series ‘Cathedral of the Pines’ (2012–2014), ‘An Eclipse of Moths’ (2018–2019), and the most recent project, ‘Eveningside’. Crewdson’s work is noted for its cinematic quality, where every detail, light source, and setting is meticulously constructed to create a sense of suspended, uncanny reality.
Originally commissioned by Gallerie d’Italia in Turin in 2022, the project is currently on its sixth European stop. The exhibition will remain open to the public until January 17, 2027.
