Grenada CBI applications rise as real estate dominates

Grenada’s Citizenship by Investment (CBI) programme reported a steady start to 2025, with the Investment Migration Agency (IMA) receiving 123 applications in the first quarter. This represents a slight increase compared to the same period in 2024.

Real estate investment has become the dominant pathway, accounting for 80% of all applications. This is a 15 percentage point increase year-on-year compared to the National Transformation Fund (NTF) option, which has seen declining popularity. In the first quarter, Grenada granted citizenship to 632 individuals, with 481 arriving via real estate investment and 151 through the NTF route.

Despite the growth in applications, the IMA reported a significant increase in the denial rate. The denial rate rose to 14.37% in Q1 2025, up from 5.67% during the same period in 2024. Real estate applications accounted for 72% of these total denials.
