Grenada sets November 5 for general elections

Grenadian Prime Minister Dickon Mitchell has announced that general elections will be held on November 5, 2026. This follows the official dissolution of Parliament on October 2, which also marked the deadline for voter registration.

The upcoming election will determine if the National Democratic Congress (NDC), led by Mitchell, retains power. In the previous June 2022 elections, the NDC secured nine of the 15 seats in the House of Representatives.

Key dates in the electoral process include October 15 for candidate nominations and November 2 for a special voting day for police officers. The Elections Supervisor and the Parliamentary Elections Bureau are expected to release further details regarding polling stations and voting procedures in the coming weeks.
