Granade discovered in PRI offices in Chilpancingo, Guerrero

A fragmentation grenade was found inside the state offices of the Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI) in Chilpancingo, Guerrero. The discovery was reported by the party's state president, Alejandro Bravo Abarca, after a custodian spotted the device during a routine patrol.

Security forces from the state police, the National Guard, and the Mexican Army quickly cordoned off the building and evacuated nearby areas, including sports facilities used by children. Specialists from the Secretariat of National Defense (SEDENA) arrived to secure and remove the explosive, following standard protocols. No injuries or casualties have been reported.

PRI national leader Alejandro Moreno Cárdenas denounced the incident as a political intimidation tactic and called for an immediate investigation, accusing the federal government of failing to ensure safety.
