Grenoble concert of DJ Barbara Butch disrupted by pro-Palestinian protesters

On July 18, a concert by DJ Barbara Butch in Grenoble was halted about 20 minutes after it began when pro‑Palestinian activists and members of La France Insoumise intervened, throwing glass bottles and other projectiles at the stage.

The city of Grenoble and Barbara Butch filed a police complaint over the incident. Former Grenoble mayor and Green party leader Eric Piolle, writing in Libération, urged LFI leader Jean‑Luc Mélenchon to publicly condemn the action, calling it “political policing” and warning that it could damage the movement’s image.
