Grenoble: Dog shot and killed by armed intruders

On the evening of Tuesday, August 25, in the Gare district of Grenoble, two hooded individuals confronted a family at their apartment on Rue Ernest-Hareux. The incident began when a father and his two adult sons noticed their dog acting agitatedly at the front door.

Upon opening the door, the man encountered two masked suspects, one of whom was armed with a rifle. Although the man managed to close the door quickly, the dog lunged toward the intruders, prompting the armed individual to fire a shot. The dog sustained critical injuries and, despite being rushed to an emergency veterinary clinic, had to be euthanized.

The two suspects fled the scene immediately following the shooting. The family has filed a formal complaint, and the local judicial police have launched an investigation to identify the perpetrators and determine their motives.
