Gresik Regency distributes social aid to 10,195 residents

The Gresik Regency Government in East Java has distributed social assistance to 10,195 residents in the Dukun District. The aid includes direct cash transfers (BLT) from tobacco excise tax revenue (DBHCHT) and food assistance in the form of rice to strengthen social protection and food security.

Specifically, 263 beneficiary families received a one-time cash payment of Rp900,000. Additionally, 9,932 residents were provided with 30 kilograms of rice as part of the food assistance allocation for the July-September 2026 period.

Bupati Gresik Fandi Akhmad Yani stated that the recipients are prioritized for tobacco factory workers, tobacco farmers, and vulnerable groups, including the elderly and people with disabilities who have not received other social assistance. The distribution was carried out in cooperation with PT Pos Indonesia and Perum Bulog Surabaya.
