Gretel Mayer releases new crime novel set in 1972 Munich

Gretel Mayer has released a new crime novel titled ‘München 72 - Tod im Schatten der Olympiade’ through Gmeiner Verlag.

Set in Munich during the autumn of 1972, the story takes place as the city is still dealing with the aftermath of the Olympic massacre. The plot follows Criminal Chief Inspector Korbinian Hilpert and his colleague Ludwig Waldleitner as they investigate the murder of a teacher at the Mathildengymnasium, discovered by Hilpert’s daughter. The investigation delves into the school environment, uncovering power struggles and long-standing grievances among students and staff.
