Gretsch expands Electromatic series with limited Black Limba models
Gretsch, a brand under the Fender corporation, has expanded its Electromatic product line with two limited-edition electric guitar models featuring Black Limba wood: the Black Limba CVT and the Black Limba Jet. Both models are presented in a retro-style high-gloss Sunburst finish.
The Black Limba CVT is a double-cutaway model with a solid Black Limba body and a bolt-on neck. It features a 24.6-inch scale length, a rosewood fingerboard with 22 medium-jumbo frets, and Twin Six humbuckers equipped with Alnico-5 magnets. The hardware is gold-plated and includes a wraparound bridge.
The Black Limba Jet utilizes a chambered Black Limba body with a carved top and a set neck. This model has a longer 26.88-inch scale length and an ebony fingerboard. Its electronics include Twin Six humbuckers with Alnico 4 magnets at the neck and Alnico 5 at the bridge, offering push-pull coil-splitting functionality for increased tonal flexibility.
