Greve in Chianti hosts wellness and karate programs for seniors

The municipality of Greve in Chianti is continuing its ‘Summer at Monte San Michele’ initiative, designed to promote wellness and socialization for residents over the age of 65.

On August 12 and 19, the program will feature ‘Karaterzetà,’ a specialized karate training session certified by the Italian Karate Federation (FIK). This version of karate is adapted for seniors, combining gentle gymnastics with martial arts techniques without any physical contact.

The program includes transportation, outdoor gentle physical activity, shared reading, and lunch at Villa San Michele. Participation costs 17 euros per person, though it is free for residents with an ISEE of 16,000 euros or less.
