Grevena hosts religious ceremonies for relics of Saint Nikanos

The city of Grevena hosted religious ceremonies for the reception of the holy relics of Saint Nikanos the Wonderworker. The relics were transported from the Holy Zavorda Monastery to the Holy Metropolitan Church of the Annunciation of the Theotokos for veneration.

On the evening of Saturday, October 3, 2026, a procession involving clergy and the public moved from Liberty Square to the Metropolitan Church. Following the arrival, a festive Vespers service was held. On Sunday, October 4, the religious program continued with Matins and a festive Divine Liturgy, allowing the faithful to venerate the relics.
