Grevena Metropolis launches new catechetical year

The catechetical groups of the Holy Metropolis of Grevena have launched their new year under the theme ‘Let us become a City of Heaven’. The inaugural meeting took place at the courtyard of the Saint Achilleios chapel, involving catechists, children of all ages, parents, and elderly residents from the local nursing home.

The event featured a four-hour program of music, theater, painting, and games. Metropolitan David of Grevena attended the gathering to perform the Agiasmos (blessing) for the participants.

Catechetical meetings are scheduled every Saturday at the Spiritual Center of the Holy Metropolis. Sessions for younger children run at 11:00 AM, followed by groups for middle and high school students at 12:00 PM. A planned excursion to the site of the martyrdom of Saint Emilianus is scheduled for late September.
