Grevena priest faces revenge porn and threat allegations

A 68-year-old priest from Grevena, Greece, is facing legal action following allegations of revenge porn and threats made by his 43-year-old former partner. The Holy Metropolis of Grevena has announced that the priest has been relieved of his administrative duties.

In a televised interview, the priest addressed the allegations, claiming he had developed deep feelings for the woman and alleging that she had been unfaithful. He stated that the relationship ended when she terminated it on July 21. The priest also acknowledged that his actions were not faithful to his wife.

The trial, originally scheduled for October 16, has been postponed to October 29, 2026. The delay follows a request from his lawyer due to the priest undergoing medical treatment after an attempted suicide.
