Grey County $40M Lotto Max ticket claimed before deadline

A $40 million Lotto Max winning ticket sold in Grey County, Ontario, has been successfully validated ahead of its expiration deadline. The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG) confirmed that the ticket was processed at an OLG terminal before the midnight deadline on Wednesday.

If the ticket had remained unclaimed, it would have become Canada’s second-largest unclaimed Lotto Max prize, trailing only a $70 million winner from June 2022. OLG officials stated they are currently conducting a review process to verify the identity of the rightful owner(s), a standard procedure for all prize claims exceeding $1,000.

The winning numbers for the draw were 06, 14, 17, 19, 26, 43, 45, with bonus number 27.
