Grid modernization and AI integration in utility sectors

In contrast, the smart grid is a subset of this modernization, utilizing digital communication, information technology, and artificial intelligence to enhance transmission and distribution systems.
As utilities move toward deploying AI agents and autonomous systems, the success of these technologies depends on a robust information foundation. To operate safely in regulated environments, AI requires access to trusted context, including engineering drawings, maintenance procedures, and compliance records, which are often scattered across multiple disparate systems.
