Grigor Dimitrov awarded wildcard for 2024 Cincinnati Masters

Bulgarian tennis star Grigor Dimitrov received a wildcard entry for the ATP Masters 1000 tournament in Cincinnati, Ohio, scheduled for 13‑23 August 2024. He is one of four players granted special invitations, alongside Switzerland’s Stan Wawrinka, Britain’s Jack Draper and France’s Gaël Monfils.

Dimitrov previously won the Cincinnati event in 2017, defeating Nick Kyrgios 6‑3, 7‑5 at the Lindner Family Tennis Center. In addition to the Masters 1000 wildcard, he was offered a wildcard for the ATP 250 tournament in Los Cabos, Mexico, after reporting a foot discomfort during pre‑tournament training.

Wawrinka, playing his final ATP season, will make his 15th appearance in Cincinnati; Monfils will make his 14th and final appearance; Draper returns for his second appearance after reaching the quarter‑finals in his 2024 debut.
