Grigor Dimitrov seeks wildcard for US Open and Cincinnati Masters

Bulgarian tennis star Grigor Dimitrov is in New York training and hopes to receive a wildcard for the main draw of the US Open. After a season‑ending injury that dropped him to world No. 137, he has been granted special entries at recent Grand Slam events, including Mallorca and Wimbledon, and is awaiting the USTA's decision.

Dimitrov also secured a wildcard for the ATP Masters 1000 tournament in Cincinnati, where he won the title in 2017 and reached a career‑high ranking of world No. 3. The Cincinnati appearance offers him a chance to repeat that breakthrough and improve his ranking ahead of the US Open qualifiers.
