Grigoris Arnaoutoglou Considers Local Politics in Chalkidiki

Greek television presenter Grigoris Arnaoutoglou gave a new interview on the program “Where Greece Exists”. He recalled his childhood in the village of Megali Panagia in Chalkidiki, describing it as “a wonderful, beautiful place” where he spent his summers, fell in love, and later visited his mother before she passed away.

Arnaoutoglou said he might later become involved in local government, stating, “I don’t know if I’ll get into politics, but maybe I’d like to work in local administration.” He argued that local officials, supported by central policy, can improve their regions, noting that mountainous Chalkidiki offers more than tourism, including excellent food and historic sites.
