Grigoris Arnaoutoglou reminisces about Megali Panagia after mother’s passing

Grigoris Arnaoutoglou, a well‑known Greek television presenter, appeared on the program “Όπου υπάρχει Ελλάδα” and spoke emotionally about his childhood village, Megali Panagia in the Halkidiki peninsula.

He recalled spending his summers there, his first love, and said his recent visit was prompted because his mother, who recently died, now rests in the village. He emphasized the enduring personal connection to the place.

Arnaoutoglou also said he might consider involvement in local municipal politics, believing a dedicated person can help develop the community, which he described as a beautiful mountain area with tourism, cuisine and ancient history.
