Grimes maintains financial independence despite relationship with Elon Musk

Canadian singer, songwriter, and producer Grimes, born Claire Elise Boucher, has maintained financial and professional independence throughout her career. Despite her high-profile relationship with billionaire Elon Musk, which resulted in three children before their separation in 2021, the artist has built her own wealth through diverse artistic activities.

Since beginning her independent career in Montreal in 2006, Grimes has established a unique presence in the music industry with an experimental pop style that blends electropop, dream pop, R&B, hip-hop, and lo-fi. She is noted for her ability to compose, arrange, and produce much of her own work.
