Grisolia hosts 25th Spicy Pizza World Championship

The 25th Spicy Pizza World Championship is being held at the Cormorano Resort in Grisolia Lido, Calabria, from October 12 to October 14. Organized by the Movimento Pizzaioli Italiani, this silver jubilee edition marks a change in venue from Scalea to Grisolia.

The event features professional and aspiring pizza makers from 16 different countries across Europe, America, and Asia. Competitions include various categories such as classic, Neapolitan, pizza in pala, tray pizza, gluten-free, and desserts. Specialized challenges will also take place, including freestyle, the widest pizza, the fastest pizza, and the title of ‘The King of Spicy Pizza’.

In addition to individual categories, the championship includes the World Cup for nations and the Coppa Italia for regions. The event also provides a platform for students from hotel institutes and emerging pizza chefs to showcase their skills.
