Grizzly bear encounters reported by hikers and influencers in US

Recent grizzly bear encounters involving social media influencers and hikers in the United States have gained significant attention online. In Montana, a group of hikers at Glacier National Park encountered a grizzly bear while on a trail. The group utilized safety techniques such as talking and clapping to avoid startling the animal. After following the group for a period, the bear, nicknamed ‘Big Cheeks’, eventually rolled onto its back to scratch itself, an action the hikers described as appearing to ‘wave’.

In a separate incident, Russian content creator Anastasia Fedko and her partner experienced a tense standoff with a grizzly bear during a mountain hike. The predator reportedly followed the pair for approximately 30 minutes after they rejoined their trekking party before wandering away. These incidents follow other reported encounters in Katmai National Park and Preserve, Alaska, involving streamers Alex Prynkiewicz and Maya Higa.

Wildlife safety experts advise that during bear encounters, individuals should remain calm, stay in groups, and avoid running to prevent triggering a predator's instinct to chase.
