Grlić Radman addresses Western Balkans stability in Riga

Croatian Foreign Minister Gordan Grlić Radman addressed European ministers at an international conference in Riga, focusing on the stability of the Western Balkans and the European path for Serbia. He warned about Serbia’s actions regarding the funeral of war criminal Ratko Mladić and their implications for regional stability.

Grlić Radman emphasized Croatia’s support for the European perspective of the Western Balkans, specifically highlighting the importance of Bosnia and Herzegovina’s future. He called for the full equality of the three constituent peoples, legitimate political representation for Croats, and electoral law reform.

During discussions with partners from Finland, Ireland, Latvia, Hungary, and Poland, the minister also addressed Russian hybrid and destabilizing activities. He stressed the need for a coordinated European response, the protection of critical infrastructure, and increased cooperation between the EU and NATO.
