Grêmio and Corinthians ready for preseason friendlies in Brazil

Grêmio resumed training on Thursday, focusing on a tactical session before its friendly against Chapecoense on Saturday at 19:00 (Brasília time) in Sinop, Mato Grosso. The squad completed a light run, stretching, lower‑body strengthening and a small‑space passing drill, followed by a tactical run‑through led by coach Luís Castro. After the session the team will fly to Sinop for the match, which is part of its preparation for the upcoming season.

Corinthians continued its ninth consecutive training day, with coach Fernando Diniz emphasizing offensive movements. Players performed strength work, warm‑ups and three‑vs‑three transition drills before splitting into four groups for reduced‑size games. The squad will face Cascavel in a friendly on 12 July at 16:00 in Paraná. Dutch striker Memphis Depay remains unavailable, still with the Netherlands squad that was eliminated by Morocco at the World Cup.
