Grêmio defender Luis Eduardo targeted by Shakhtar and Olympiacos

European clubs are competing for the signature of Grêmio's 18-year-old defender, Luis Eduardo. Shakhtar Donetsk and Olympiacos are the primary interested parties.

Shakhtar Donetsk reportedly made an offer of approximately 8 million euros (roughly R$ 45 million) in September. While negotiations with the Ukrainian club have reportedly advanced, Grêmio has declined that valuation. The club's management aims to increase the player's value by integrating him further into the professional squad before finalizing a sale.

Olympiacos is also monitoring the defender and plans to submit a new proposal during the next transfer window in January. Due to the increased competition, Grêmio is now targeting a sale price of at least 12 million euros (approximately R$ 67 million). Luis Eduardo, who has a contract with Grêmio until May 2028, has already made six appearances for the professional team this season.
