Grêmio faces internal crisis amid coach Renato Gaúcho controversies

Grêmio is experiencing significant internal tension following a 4-2 home defeat against Cruzeiro. Coach Renato Gaúcho has drawn criticism for public remarks directed at his own squad, questioning the club's recruitment processes and player profiles. He specifically noted that some signings lacked proper analysis, citing an instance where a player arrived significantly overweight.

Beyond technical criticisms, the club is facing scrutiny regarding the intersection of politics and football. Discussions have emerged concerning the use of official press conferences to express personal political preferences, as well as allegations that political ideologies have influenced decision-making processes involving potential coaching hires and club supporters.
