Grêmio loans midfielder Miguel Monsalve to Estudiantes

Grêmio has reached an agreement to loan Colombian midfielder Miguel Monsalve to the Argentine club Estudiantes. The deal includes an option for Estudiantes to purchase the player permanently at the end of the loan period, which is set to run until mid-2027.

Monsalve, 22, had recently been sidelined from Grêmio's main squad after declining previous transfer offers. During his time with the Brazilian club, which began in the second half of 2024, he appeared in 63 matches, scoring seven goals and providing five assists. His playing time decreased significantly this season under coach Luís Castro, and his last appearance for the team was on July 23 during a Copa Sul-Americana playoff match against Bolívar.
