Grêmio midfielder Danilo Barbosa officially registered to play

Midfielder Danilo Barbosa has been officially cleared to play for Grêmio after his registration was published in the CBF's Daily Informative Bulletin (BID). The 30-year-old signed a contract with the club through December 2028.

Barbosa is available for selection in the upcoming Campeonato Brasileiro match against Bragantino this Sunday. However, head coach Luís Castro may manage his minutes carefully, as the player has not competed in an official match since May while playing for Al-Ula in Saudi Arabia.

The technical staff is considering Barbosa as part of a midfield restructuring ahead of the Gre-Nais derbies in the Copa do Brasil. Potential combinations being tested include a midfield trio of Barbosa, Villasanti, and Filip Krovinović.
