Grêmio readies both women's and men's squads for upcoming fixtures

Grêmio’s women’s team completed a second week of training during the World Cup break at the Ulbra Sports Complex in Canoas. Coach Jéssica de Lima oversaw sessions that combined strength work, mobility drills and tactical exercises, with goalkeeper specialist Francisco Rodrigues joining the staff. The squad, currently ninth in the Brasileirão Feminino with 17 points, is preparing for a decisive 13th‑round clash against Flamengo on 24 July in Rio de Janeiro.

The club’s men’s side reconvened on 30 June at the Luiz Carvalho training centre after a 2‑1 friendly win over Cascavel. Head coach Luís Castro led a series of warm‑up, passing and tactical drills aimed at sharpening the team for an upcoming friendly against Chapecoense on 4 July in Sinop, Mato Grosso. Further training is scheduled for the following morning.
