Grêmio targets Juventude midfielder Raí Silva amid negotiation friction

Grêmio has expressed interest in signing Juventude midfielder Raí Silva, aiming to secure the 24-year-old for the 2027 season. Raí Silva has been a standout performer in the Brazilian Serie B, recording seven goals and five assists in 38 matches.

Juventude president Fábio Pizzamiglio criticized Grêmio's approach, describing the negotiation attempt via WhatsApp as “mal-educada” (rude). Pizzamiglio noted that Raí Silva has an automatic contract renewal clause if Juventude achieves promotion to Serie A, which complicates any pre-contract agreement.

This follows previous attempts by Grêmio to acquire Juventude's Mandaca. While Mandaca reportedly has an agreement to join Grêmio in January 2027, Juventude's management has previously resisted efforts to release players early during the current transfer window.
