Grêmio to face Chapecoense in friendly at Sinop, Brazil

Brazilian clubs Grêmio and Chapecoense will meet in a preparatory friendly on Saturday, 4 July 2026, at the Estádio Gigante do Norte in Sinop, Mato Grosso. Grêmio, coached by Luís Castro, will rotate the squad and test tactics ahead of the season’s restart after the World Cup break. The match will be streamed live on Grêmio TV via YouTube.

New defender Wallace, who recently joined Grêmio and wears the number 82 in tribute to his mother’s birth year, made his debut in the second half of the previous friendly against Cascavel. Both clubs used the session for video analysis and specific training drills before the game.
