Grêmio undergoes squad and management restructuring

Grêmio is undergoing a structural and squad reorganization under the leadership of President Odorico Roman. The club is currently managing potential departures of up to nine players before the transfer window closes on September 2.

Among those likely to leave are Miguel Monsalve and João Pedro. Other players in uncertain situations include Wagner Leonardo, Fabián Balbuena, Gabriel Mec, Carlos Vinícius, Pavón, and Dodi. The club is evaluating each case individually to adjust the squad managed by Luís Castro.

In addition to squad changes, the club is restructuring its management, specifically within its youth categories. Grêmio is in advanced negotiations to hire Fred Cascardo, formerly of Cruzeiro and América-MG, as the new director of youth categories. This move is part of a broader strategy to improve the institution's financial health by investing in young players before their market value increases.
