Grüne Jugend re-elects Henriette Held and Luis Bobga
Henriette Held and Luis Bobga have been re-elected as the federal spokespersons of the Grüne Jugend (Green Youth) during the organization's federal congress in Leipzig. Both leaders will extend their terms for another year.
In the voting process, Held secured 86.29 percent of the votes, while Bobga received 73.20 percent. Although both maintained their leadership positions, their respective vote shares were lower than the results achieved during their election one year ago.
During the congress, the leaders issued sharp criticisms of current political directions. Held criticized Chancellor Friedrich Merz regarding climate change policy, while Bobga addressed social issues, arguing that government budget cuts to democracy programs pose risks to social stability and increase the threat of right-wing extremism.
