Jagiellonia Białystok loses striker Nik Prelec to injury after loss to Górnik Zabrze
Górnik Zabrze defeated Jagiellonia Białystok 3-1 in a tenth-round Ekstraklasa match. The victory was driven by Jarosław Kubicki, who scored the opening goal and provided an assist for Kacper Urbański.
Following the match, Jagiellonia announced that key Slovenian striker Nik Prelec has suffered a ligament injury to his ankle. The injury, sustained during the game, is expected to sideline him for several weeks. This loss comes at a difficult time for Jagiellonia, which is also managing the six-match suspension of coach Adrian Siemeniec and facing a string of recent losses across league and European competitions.
In addition to Prelec, defender Norbert Wojtuszek is also reported to be sidelined with an injury. Jagiellonia is scheduled to face Ararat Armenia in the Europa League this coming Thursday.
