Górnik Zabrze set for Champions League qualifier against Fenerbahçe

Polish vice‑champion Górnik Zabrze will face Turkish side Fenerbahçe in the second qualifying round of the UEFA Champions League. The first leg is scheduled for 21 July 2026 in Istanbul’s Şükrü Saracoğlu Stadium, with the return match a week later in Zabrze.

Polsat Sport will broadcast Górnik’s European fixtures, and the club confirmed that all its matches will be shown on the Polsat Sport channels. Ticket sales for the Istanbul leg are being handled via the Passolig system, with prices ranging from 1 500 TL to 40 000 TL and sales opening on 16‑18 July. In Poland, tickets for the home leg will also be sold in stages through official channels.

Fenerbahçe’s preparation includes a record signing of English striker Mason Greenwood from Olympique Marseille for about €39 million, bringing the Turkish club’s summer spend to over €80 million. The Turkish side also added Vedat Muriqi, Sidiki Cherif, Nathan Ake and Adem Yesilyurt earlier in the window.

Domestically, Górnik will contest the Polish Super Cup against league champions Lech Poznań on 16 July 2026 at the Enea Stadion in Poznań, marking the opening of the Polish season.
