Górnik Zabrze signs striker Janis Antiste on loan from Sassuolo

Górnik Zabrze has officially completed the signing of 23-year-old striker Janis Antiste on a season-long loan from the Italian club Sassuolo. The agreement, which runs until June 30, 2027, includes an option for the Polish club to purchase the player permanently.

Antiste, a Martinique international, brings significant European experience to the Ekstraklasa side. His career includes stints in France's Ligue 1 with Toulouse, as well as appearances in Italy's Serie A with Spezia and Sassuolo. He has also played for clubs such as Amiens, Nürnberg, and Rapid Wien.

The player noted that discussions with club figures and Lukas Podolski, along with encouragement from German football legend Miroslav Klose, influenced his decision to join the project in Zabrze.
