Grob-Werke and IG Metall Reach Agreement to Secure Jobs Until 2028

Grob-Werke and the IG Metall union have concluded a supplementary collective bargaining agreement for the Mindelheim plant. The deal guarantees employment at the site through February 2028, ending recent uncertainty after short‑time work and talks of layoffs.

Under the agreement, employees will forgo roughly €30 million in benefits and work an additional 1.5 hours per week for eight months without extra pay. In return, Grob-Werke commits to invest €20 million, improve processes, and strengthen innovation. The pact also secures 60 apprenticeship places, including ten reserved for young people with disabilities, and provides a bonus of €500‑€2,400 plus an extra day off for union members.

The union describes the settlement as a strong signal for the Mindelheim location, combining job security with long‑term investment and inclusion measures.
