Grocka marks 58th annual festival with folk performances, apricot contest and pop concert
The second evening of Grocka’s 58th annual Gročanske svečanosti was held on the Danube quay, showcasing traditional Serbian folk music, dances and regional games from Belgrade, Šumadija, Mačva, Ponišavlje, Leskovac, Šopluk and Vlach areas. The program also featured the announcement of the winner of the "Best Gročanska apricot grower 2026" competition, a long‑standing showcase of local fruit‑growing quality. Municipal Assembly President Aleksandar Rajković presented the first‑place award to Gorana Malinović, while Đorđe Stanojević and deputy president Vesna Damnjanović handed out the second‑ and third‑place prizes.
The opening night attracted a packed crowd of young people for a concert by pop singer Teodora Popovska, who performed her hits from the Danube promenade. The audience sang along, and the artist interacted closely with fans, creating a lively atmosphere. The festival will continue over the next days with a mix of cultural, tourist, sports and entertainment events for residents and visitors.
