Groenelaan neighborhood renovation faces administrative delays

Residents and local officials are expressing frustration over the slow pace of the Groenelaan neighborhood renovation. Bauco Moerkercken, chairman of the local neighborhood umbrella organization, criticized the administrative delays after months of waiting for a response regarding community views.

The municipality stated that the delay in issuing an official advisory report on the numerous submitted views was due to the high volume of responses, the workload surrounding municipal elections, and the summer recess. An advisory note is expected in September, which will then be presented to the Board of Mayor and Aldermen for further decision-making.
