Groenewoudsesteeg in Woudenberg closed due to unsafe trees

The historic private lane Groenewoudsesteeg in Woudenberg has been deemed unsafe because of deteriorating trees. Warning signs have been installed and the lane, which forms part of the Termatenpad walking route, remains closed while the owner develops a remediation plan. The plan will consider the lane’s cultural heritage, natural values and the condition of the trees, with possible measures including tree replacement or extensive pruning.

A dog ban has also been introduced after a rise in canine disturbances. The lane cannot be fully blocked because it provides access to several properties, so users are directed to avoid it via the posted signs until safety can be guaranteed.
