Großglockner High Alpine Road offers autumn discounts

The Großglockner High Alpine Road, Austria’s highest pass road, is entering its autumn season, offering reduced toll prices and fewer crowds for visitors. Spanning 48 kilometers through the Hohe Tauern National Park, the route serves as a major tourist attraction rather than just a transit path, hosting approximately one million visitors annually.

Starting October 15, 2026, autumn tariffs apply until the expected winter closure in early November. Reduced rates include 36.50 Euro for cars, 30.00 Euro for motorcycles, and 5.50 Euro per person for buses. Operating hours vary by date, with shorter windows beginning October 27, 2026.
