Grolsheim Volunteer Firefighters Host Public Safety Demonstration

On Saturday, 29 August 2026, the volunteer fire brigade of Grolsheim organised a free public event at Hugo‑Brandt‑Platz. Residents were invited to learn basic fire‑safety skills, with a focus on the correct use of fire extinguishers under the guidance of trained firefighters. Participants could handle a real extinguisher, practice aiming at a simulated fire and receive personal advice on home‑ and workplace protection.

The afternoon also offered a chance to meet brigade members, ask questions about fire prevention, and purchase extinguishers at discounted rates. Refreshments, including coffee and cake, were provided to create a friendly atmosphere for families and individuals of all ages.
