Gromda Fight Club under investigation by Polish police

Polish police are conducting nationwide searches as part of an investigation into the bare-knuckle fighting federation Gromda Fight Club. The probe was initiated by the Warsaw District Prosecutor's Office following an analysis of social media content linked to the organization.

Investigators allege that materials published by individuals associated with the federation contain extreme xenophobic and racist content, specifically targeting Ukrainian nationals, immigrants from Africa, and Asia. Authorities are also examining whether the organization's posts, which included images of fighters armed with clubs and hammers accompanied by anti-migrant slogans, incited violence or promoted extremism to influence socio-political life.

The investigation gained momentum following a July incident in Wrocław, where a Ukrainian couple was brutally assaulted. One of the suspects, Adam C., a former fighter who participated in two Gromda events, was arrested and charged with assault and nationality-based violence. While the organization has distanced itself from the individual's actions, the current legal proceedings focus on the broader implications of the content published by those connected to the club.
