Großraming: Runaway tractor destroys child's bedroom

A runaway tractor caused significant property damage in Großraming, Austria, on Thursday afternoon. The incident occurred in the Steyr-Land district while a 77-year-old farmer was conducting forestry work.

According to police reports, the accident began when a winch chain snapped while the operator was pulling a spruce tree downhill with an MB Trac tractor. The tree slid under the vehicle, causing it to tilt. When the farmer exited the vehicle to inspect the situation, the unmanned tractor rolled approximately 200 meters down a meadow and crashed into the wall of a single-family home.

The impact completely destroyed a child's bedroom located behind the wall. Although the residents were home at the time of the collision, no injuries were reported.
