Grosseto Democratic Party inaugurates new territorial assembly

The provincial branch of Italy's Democratic Party (Partito Democratico) in Grosseto concluded its congress and installed a new territorial assembly. Cosimo Garofalo was elected president of the assembly and Cinzia Tacconi was chosen as secretary of the provincial federation. Party secretary Giacomo Termine thanked outgoing treasurer Daniele Capperucci for his work and emphasized that the assembly marks the start of a new phase aimed at strengthening the party’s role in local debate.

The newly formed body outlined its priorities, focusing on strengthening territorial public health, social policies, security, counter‑depopulation of interior areas, upgrading material and digital infrastructure, supporting agriculture, tourism, geothermia and the energy transition, and promoting quality jobs. These initiatives are presented as the foundation for the party’s strategy ahead of the 2027 municipal elections and subsequent regional and national contests.
