Grosseto introduces 35% Tari tax reduction for low-income families

The Municipality of Grosseto has introduced a new tax relief measure through an amendment to its Tari (waste tax) regulations. The initiative provides a 35% reduction in the variable portion of the tax for families with an Isee value between the national threshold and 12,000 euros, provided the household includes unemployed individuals, those on redundancy schemes, or pensioners.

Mayor Antonfrancesco Vivarelli Colonna and Budget Councilor Simona Rusconi stated that the modification aims to strengthen support for families in specific economic situations by expanding the pool of potential beneficiaries.

For the year 2026 specifically, the City Council has granted an extension for submitting the necessary Isee documentation, allowing families to present it by October 31, 2026. Local authorities have encouraged eligible households to verify their status and submit documentation within the established deadline to ensure they receive the intended support.
