Grosseto President Limatola visits Fondazione Il Sole on disability services

The President of the Province of Grosseto, Francesco Limatola, met with the leadership of Fondazione Il Sole in Grosseto to review the organization’s work supporting people with disabilities. Representatives including foundation president Marco Scandroglio, director Roberto Marcucci and councilor Pietro Antonini presented the current portfolio of residential care, daytime inclusion programmes and other social‑assistance activities.

The discussion highlighted a growing demand for disability services in the province and chronic shortages of public and private funding needed to maintain quality care. A particular focus was the “Dopo di Noi” issue – planning for the long‑term support of people with disabilities as they age and families seek sustainable solutions.

The meeting underscored the need for coordinated action between provincial authorities and the third‑sector to ensure continuity of services amid tightening resources.
