Großstadtrevier celebrates 40 years with new season and film

The long-running German crime series ‘Großstadtrevier’ is celebrating its 40th anniversary with a new season and a feature film. After more than 520 episodes, the ARD production will premiere its 41st season on October 5, airing Mondays at 18:50.

The upcoming episodes will feature themes such as racism, police conduct, and arson. The cast includes returning actors Saskia Fischer as Chief Inspector Küppers, Maria Ketikidou as Harry Möller, Sinha Melina Gierke as Bente Hinrichs, and Patrick Abozen as Lukas Petersen. Guest appearances by Marie Nasemann and Bernhard Hoëcker are also expected.

As a major anniversary highlight, a third television film titled ‘Knockout’ is scheduled for release on January 6, 2027. The film will focus on Chief Inspector Küppers becoming the center of an investigation involving a hit-and-run accident and a web of systemic abuse.
