Grote Clubactie fundraising campaign launches across the Netherlands

The Grote Clubactie fundraising campaign has commenced across various Dutch municipalities, including Bloemendaal, Haarlem, Haarlemmermeer, and Montfoort. Since September 19, members of numerous local associations—ranging from sports clubs to music organizations—have been selling lottery tickets to raise funds for internal goals such as new equipment, clothing, activities, or clubhouse renovations.

Frank Molkenboer, director of the Grote Clubactie, emphasized that the collective effort of members is as valuable as the financial proceeds, particularly for fostering engagement among young members. The initiative highlights the societal importance of associations; research indicates that nearly 26,000 sports clubs in the Netherlands generate an estimated €14.1 billion in annual social value by promoting healthy lifestyles and social cohesion.

Tickets are priced at €3, with 85 percent of the proceeds going directly to the participating clubs. Participants can sell tickets door-to-door or via digital links. The campaign offers over 1 million prizes, including a top prize of €100,000. Sales continue until October 27, with the draw scheduled for November 3, 2026.
