Grote Clubactie fundraising campaign begins across the Netherlands
The Grote Clubactie fundraising campaign is set to begin on September 19, involving numerous associations across various Dutch regions. In the Alkmaar area, 137 clubs including football, gymnastics, music, and scouting groups will participate. Specific participation includes 48 clubs in Alkmaar, 41 in Dijk en Waard, 14 in Castricum, 13 in Bergen, 11 in Heiloo, and 10 in Uitgeest.
In Woerden, 24 clubs will participate to raise funds for goals such as new equipment, activities, or facility renovations. This year, participating associations will receive a higher share of the proceeds, with the payout increasing from 80 to 85 percent. For every 3 euro lottery ticket sold, 2.55 euro goes directly to the club.
Members will sell tickets door-to-door, but digital options are also available via QR codes and personal sales links shared through social media and WhatsApp. The initiative aims to foster community involvement, particularly among young members, and supports the social value provided by the nearly 26,000 sports and cultural associations in the Netherlands.
